SkyMed follows a tight-knit crew of young nurses and pilots who fly air ambulances across remote Northern Canada. Set in the far reaches of Northern Canada, SkyMed tracks an air ambulance team tasked with reaching patients who are hours from the nearest hospital. The nurses and pilots are talented but still finding their footing, and each mission tests their judgment as much as their nerve. One day it is a routine transfer; the next it is a rescue in brutal cold, low visibility, or rough terrain where improvisation becomes the only option. Inside the cramped aircraft, they work with minimal equipment, tight timelines, and the constant risk that something will go wrong mid-flight. Back at base, the intensity doesn’t let up. Friendships form fast, romances complicate the job, and personal baggage surfaces in the wake of difficult calls.
