Synopsis

After a violent takeover transforms the United States into the regime of Gilead, June is forced into the role of a Handmaid, valued only for her ability to bear children. Under constant surveillance, she navigates cruel rules, shifting alliances, and small acts of resistance. Her assigned household offers both danger and unexpected openings, while other women in the system reveal different ways of coping and colluding. The story follows her attempts to protect what remains of her autonomy, reconnect with loved ones, and push back against a society built on fear and hypocrisy. As cracks appear inside the regime, personal choices carry political consequences
