The Flash
After a freak lightning strike changes everything, Central City CSI Barry Allen wakes from a long coma with an impossible new ability: super speed. Guided by scientists at S.T.A.R. Labs and driven by a lifelong need for justice, Barry becomes The Flash, racing to stop dangerous metahumans and protect his home. As he balances hero work with friendships and family ties, he searches for answers about what happened to him.
Barry Allen is a diligent forensic investigator in Central City, still shaped by a childhood tragedy that pushed him toward the truth. When an unusual storm hits, he is struck by lightning and wakes months later with accelerated healing and the power to move at incredible speed. At S.T.A.R. Labs, physicist Harrison Wells and researchers Cisco Ramon and Caitlin Snow help Barry understand his abilities and build the technology he needs to use them safely. With the support of Detective Joe West and reporter Iris West, Barry chooses to act, adopting the name The Flash to protect the city from a wave of newly empowered criminals. Each case tests his limits, forcing him to master science, strategy, and self-control as he learns what it means to be a symbol. Along the way, Barry confronts secrets surrounding the incident that changed him and the larger forces now targeting Central City.
