Overview

Notorious fugitive Raymond Red Reddington walks into FBI headquarters and offers a deal: his freedom for help capturing criminals no agency even knows exist. He brings a secret catalog he calls the Blacklist, packed with high-level threats, dirty financiers, and shadowy operatives. Red will cooperate only if he can work with Elizabeth Keen, a new profiler whose life is upended by his insistence and cryptic interest in her.

Synopsis

When legendary criminal mastermind Raymond Red Reddington suddenly surrenders in Washington, the FBI expects a trap. Instead, Red proposes an unsettling partnership: he will deliver a stream of targets from his personal Blacklist, an underground roster of dangerous players operating beyond the Bureau’s radar. In return, he demands specific privileges and, most importantly, insists on working exclusively with Elizabeth Keen, a rookie profiler just beginning her career. Tasked with evaluating Red and helping the team anticipate his moves, Liz is pulled into a world of coded alliances, double agents, and carefully staged operations. Each case exposes a new layer of criminal infrastructure, from terror networks to corporate conspiracies, while forcing the FBI to decide how far it can bend the rules to stop worse threats. As Red’s guidance repeatedly proves invaluable, his real motivations remain elusive, and Liz must navigate the growing tension between duty, trust, and the secrets Red seems determined to keep close.
