Friendship and destiny collide in every adventure.

Synopsis

Merlin comes to Camelot at his mother’s urging, only to discover a kingdom ruled by fear of magic. King Uther Pendragon has outlawed all sorcery, and punishment is swift, so Merlin must conceal his abilities even as his powers grow. After an impulsive act of bravery saves Prince Arthur, Merlin is assigned as Arthur’s servant, placing him close to the court and directly in the path of danger. Though Arthur begins as proud and combative, the two are repeatedly tested by assassins, monsters, political threats, and conspiracies tied to the past. Merlin finds allies in the royal physician Gaius and in friends beyond the castle walls, while powerful enemies seek to exploit Camelot’s vulnerabilities. Balancing secrecy with responsibility, Merlin quietly shapes events so Arthur can mature into a just ruler, even when it costs him personally.
