Overview

Set in the year 2226, Quark follows Adam Quark, an unglamorous employee of the United Galaxy Sanitation Patrol, whose job is to haul away the universe’s trash. Stationed on Perma One, he pilots a clunky garbage cruiser alongside a misfit crew of oddballs and androids. Each mission turns routine cleanup into chaotic encounters, skewering familiar space-opera tropes and classic sci-fi adventures with fast, deadpan comedy.

Synopsis

Quark is a sci-fi sitcom centered on Adam Quark, a mild-mannered everyman working for the United Galaxy Sanitation Patrol in 2226. Based out of the sprawling Space Station Perma One, his assignment is hardly heroic: he commands an interstellar garbage scow that collects floating debris and mysterious space baggies left behind across the cosmos. The job would be simple if not for his eccentric team, whose mismatched personalities and unconventional abilities turn every run into an unpredictable expedition. As the crew responds to official orders and stumbles into strange worlds, bureaucratic mishaps, and larger-than-life villains, the series pokes fun at the grand seriousness of popular science fiction. Episodes riff on familiar genre landmarks, parodying everything from space fantasy spectacle to sleek, philosophical futurism, while keeping the focus on workplace headaches, uneasy teamwork, and the absurdity of being the people tasked with cleaning up the galaxy.
