Synopsis

In 1999, Moonbase Alpha is a thriving lunar outpost staffed by scientists, pilots, and support crews from around the world. Everything changes in an instant when a massive explosion on the Moon’s far side knocks the Moon free from Earth’s orbit, sending the entire base and its inhabitants on an uncontrolled journey into deep space. With no rescue possible and supplies limited, Commander John Koenig works alongside Doctor Helena Russell, Professor Victor Bergman, and the Alphans to preserve life, maintain fragile systems, and keep morale intact. As the Moon races through unknown regions of the cosmos, the base encounters uncharted planets, mysterious spacecraft, and phenomena that challenge human understanding. Each mission beyond the protective walls of Alpha forces the crew to balance scientific curiosity with the urgent need for food, water, energy, and safety. The series follows their ongoing struggle to adapt, cooperate, and find direction in a universe that rarely offers certainty.
