Synopsis

Set in a 1960s American suburb, My Favorite Martian follows newspaper reporter Tim O'Hara after he stumbles upon a downed spacecraft and its sole survivor. The alien, sophisticated yet unfamiliar with human customs, insists on staying hidden from authorities and the public. Tim reluctantly agrees to shelter him, and the Martian adopts the identity of Uncle Martin, a supposedly long-lost family member who suddenly arrives with peculiar manners. While Uncle Martin quietly repairs his damaged ship, his remarkable powers and literal interpretations of Earth life repeatedly complicate Tim’s everyday routines. Tim must cover for strange incidents at home, explain away unusual behavior to friends and neighbors, and keep his job from being derailed by the very secrets he is protecting. The series blends family-friendly comedy with light science-fiction as the unlikely roommates form a bond and navigate one misadventure after another.
