Synopsis

Set against the open road and shifting landscapes of early-1960s America, Route 66 follows Tod Stiles as he searches for direction after his family’s finances collapse and his planned future disappears. With Buz Murdock as his first traveling partner, Tod moves from city streets to small towns, picking up odd jobs to pay for gas and meals while trying to understand what he values and who he wants to become. Their travels put them in the paths of strangers facing pressure, temptation, injustice, and personal secrets, drawing the pair into mysteries, crime-related trouble, and emotionally charged dilemmas.
