Justin Hartley is an American actor whose television work connects daytime serials, superhero adventure, family drama and the missing-person cases of Tracker. Kevin Pearson in This Is Us and Colter Shaw in Tracker provide two distinct entry points: one belongs to an interwoven family story, while the other leads a succession of searches. Earlier work as Oliver Queen in Smallville helps explain another part of that range. The gallery follows these three productions, with a credited public-event portrait identifying the performer separately from his characters.
Hartley's first regular television work was in Passions. He later played Oliver Queen, also known as Green Arrow, in Smallville, joining in its sixth season and becoming a regular in its eighth. CAA's career biography also documents his work on Emily Owens, M.D., Revenge and Mistresses, followed by Adam Newman in The Young and the Restless. That daytime role earned a lead-actor Daytime Emmy nomination. These credits establish a route through several forms of continuing television before the broader family ensemble of This Is Us.
Tracker casts Hartley as Colter Shaw, a survivalist who locates missing people and works for rewards. Paramount also identifies Hartley as an executive producer. Colter's cases create the episode-by-episode movement, while unresolved family history supplies an ongoing thread. The distinction matters when approaching the series: solving an immediate search does not necessarily settle the personal questions carried into the next story. Watch how information gathered during a case changes his choices, and how conversations with recurring allies show aspects of him that a pursuit alone cannot reveal.
In This Is Us, Hartley plays Kevin Pearson, a television actor whose professional success does not resolve his dissatisfaction. He shares the family ensemble with Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown and Chrissy Metz. An actor playing an actor creates an extra layer for the audience: a character's public confidence can differ from his private uncertainty. It is useful to compare Kevin performing for other people with quieter exchanges inside the family. That is a viewing approach, not an assumption that the fictional character reflects Hartley's own life.
Smallville also gave Hartley work behind the camera: CAA records a writing credit on Sacrifice and direction of Dominion. The move from performing within a scene to helping shape an episode is an important distinction in a career record. An actor's role, a writing credit and a directing credit describe different contributions and should not be folded into one general label. The gallery uses Smallville's 2001 debut year to identify the programme; it does not suggest that Hartley was present from the first season.
Tracker places Colter within a network of recurring relationships despite his mobile, solitary occupation. Fiona Rene plays attorney Reenie Greene, and Jensen Ackles plays Colter's older brother Russell. Paramount's cast guide describes Russell's military and private-security background and the strain between the brothers. This framework creates a different kind of ensemble from This Is Us: some people remain part of the ongoing support system, while others arrive with a new case or a difficult piece of family history. Hartley is the continuing point through which those changing stories are encountered.
A three-stop viewing path moves from Smallville to This Is Us and then Tracker. The contrast is between kinds of television storytelling as much as between characters: a hero within an established fantasy world, one member of a family drama, and the central investigator in a case-driven series. Hartley's writing, directing and executive-producing credits add another dimension to that record. The selected images identify those programmes and may feature ensemble members. They are not presented as photographs of every role, and the profile remains a guide to milestones rather than a complete filmography.
